Rajput (Muslim traditions) in Pakistan

Rajput Muslims are recognized for their contributions to their agricultural communities. As land has been lost, though, a growing number among the people group have become employed in service and even wage labor jobs. Women can often be found in weaving, embroidery, and the making of handkerchiefs. For women, toe rings, nose pins, and glass bangles remain the most observable symbols of their marital status. Rajputs are non-vegetarian, avoiding beef but consuming wheat, rice, and pulses. This people group observes Islam as Sunni Muslims, but with much influence by Hindu traditions, they retain a variety of Hindu practices.

Ministry Obstacles
High status is greatly valued in South Asian countries. Rajputs, therefore, need to humble themselves so they can accept they are sinners in need of a sin-free Savior.

Pray that many in this people group are born again and enter into the Kingdom of God.

Prayer Focus
Ask the Holy Spirit to supernaturally reveal Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life among the Muslim Rajput group. Ask God to open their eyes, hearts, and ears to the good news of the Savior. Pray for the Lord to raise up the right people to disciple the Muslim Rajput in his ways. Pray for the Lord to demonstrate his power and goodness among them so that they will understand. Ask for an intervention of the Holy Spirit in each of their families.
