Sindang Kelingi in Indonesia

Much of the Sindang Kelingi homeland is covered by jungle. Farming is the primary occupation of the Sindang Kelingi. Rubber is their main cash crop, but they also grow coffee and rice. Farmers work their wet-rice plots by hoeing or by plowing with oxen or water buffalo. Sometimes hired work groups or extended families plant and harvest the fields, but more well-off farmers often use tractors in cultivating their crops. Those who have no tractor save up for several years to buy this piece of equipment from the government. They hold major ceremonies after the harvest as a celebration.

Ministry Obstacles
Living in gospel-poor southern Sumatra without any known Christ followers, the Sindang Kelingi have no option but to remain Muslim. They know of nothing else.

Scripture Focus
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,"  Ephesians 1:3

Scripture Prayer
Thank the Lord that He is giving His spiritual blessings to this people group.
