Yonzhi in China
Yon-jee
Yonzhi live simple lives, unaffected by events in the rest of the world. Nomadic Yonzhi live in yak-hair tents and move every few weeks to find new pastures for their yaks, sheep, and goats. Today, the Yongzhis live as nomads in the central provinces of China. They live as a distinct ethnic group in a remote area that has changed little for hundreds of years.
Ministry Obstacles Tibetan Buddhism is a huge impediment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Few from such a background have given their hearts to the Lord of lords.
Scripture Focus "Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’" Isaiah 46:10
Scripture Prayer Thank the Lord that He alone can tell the future, and His plans for today’s people group can never be stopped.
Prayer Focus Pray for the Lord to intervene in Yonzhi families, blessing them in every way.
Pray for loving, Holy Spirit-led workers to go to them.
Pray for the Lord to draw Yonzhi hearts to himself.
Pray for a church planting movement to thrive in Yonzhi communities.
Pray that those who come to Jesus in faith from this community will live holy lives, honoring the Lord in all they say and do.
Pray that a clean water supply and adequate medical care will become available for this low caste community.
